FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ Bedrock backfield of Darren McFadden and Felix Jones asked the nation to help them pick their Halloween costumes and after almost 5,000 votes were cast the winning costumes were Fred Flintstone (Darren) and Barney Rubble (Felix).

Both Darren and Felix donned the costumes Wednesday morning and attended classes, mingled with students and then met the media at the student union during lunch.

The Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble costumes were selected after garnering 41.2 percent of the votes (2,056) on the www.Hogwired.com and www.5DarrenMcFadden.com poll. The Sonny and Cher costume finished second with 32.4 percent (1,618 votes) and the Blues Brothers came in third at 26.4 percent (1,322).

In the following days, both Darren’s and Felix’s costumes will be put up for auction on www.Hogwired.com with all off the proceeds going to charity. The money from Darren’s costume will be donated to his hometown Boys and Girls Club in Little Rock, while the proceeds from Felix’s outfit will go to his hometown Boys and Girls Club in Tulsa, Okla.
