June 3, 2008

AUBURN - Three of Auburn's football games for the upcoming 2008 season will be televised, announced the Southeastern Conference Tuesday. Additional games during the season will be televised, and per the SEC television policy, will be announced 12 or six days prior to the contest.

Auburn's Sept. 6 non-conference home game against Southern Miss will be televised by Raycom (formerly Lincoln Financial Sports) and kick off at 11:30 a.m. CT in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Tigers will follow that with a 6 p.m. CT game on ESPN2 the following week at Mississippi State on Sept. 13.

A previously released televised game, the West Virginia game on Oct. 23 to be aired by ESPN, will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Thursday night game will be Auburn's eighth all-time game on Thursday and first trip ever to Morgantown.

In addition to the televised games, Auburn also announced game times for its remaining two non-conference home contests. The Tigers will open the 2008 season on Aug. 30 against Louisiana-Monroe with a 6 p.m. CT kickoff, while the Homecoming contest against Tennessee-Martin on Nov. 8 will begin at 1:30 p.m. CT.
